On 28th of December 2016 the “Jennifer Schepers” salvaged four crewmembers of a sailing yacht after receipt of an emergency call from the Rescue-Coordination-Center Miami of US Coast Guard. The yacht was 220 nautical miles off the coast of South Carolina. Because of a damaged engine she sent out distress call. Our Containership “Jennifer Schepers”, under her way from Puerto Barrios to Wilmington, Delaware, was ten nautical miles away from the boat. After three hours all four crewmember together with their dog were safely embarked on board and the vessel continued her voyage.
