On June 30, 2025, the MV “Katharina Schepers” was successfully handed over, marking the fourth ship in the SSW 1000 series. The handover, like that of its sister ship, the Helena Schepers, took place in Sagunto, Spain. The 1,000 TEU container ship was added to the HS Group as a newbuild in 2012 and has been operating in the European feeder service ever since.
